the crisis wasn’t over yet. The fire threatened to spread beyond the maze to the rest of the fair, with its closely packed tents and barns. Cows and horses and the other livestock were already panicking. Clark worried about his mom and dad and the hundreds of other people and animals attending the fair. What if they didn’t get away in time? A water tower rose over the fairgrounds not far away. Clark suddenly knew what to do. Hidden by smoke and fire, he leapt out of the maze and landed
